If there is one thing Rivers Cuomo can do it’s write a great pop song. So fans of Weezer won’t be disappointed by OK Human. Unlike other Weezer albums it offers more than the pop rock melody we have come to expect from the guys, with the backing of a 38 piece orchestra, a whole new depth is added to their sound.
This album has had a lot put into it having first been mentioned in 2019, Cuomo then placed it on hold to work on material to perform as part of the Hella Mega tour, with the tour being postponed the guys went back to work on OK Human.
If you are a Weezer fan there is nothing here to really surprise or to disappoint. If for some strange reason you are not a pop rock fan, shame on you! OK Human is a nice beginning to get you started on a journey of Weezer discovery.
